He later transitioned to Sonoma State University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business Analysis and Consulting. During college, he worked full-time jobs, balancing academics with employment at Target and Peet's Coffee to finance his education.

    Mark's professional journey began in customer service, where he honed his interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities. His career took a significant turn when he joined Peet's Coffee in Emeryville, California, where he first dipped his toes into IT and digital product management. Here, he discovered his passion for technology and innovation. He was pivotal in launching Peet's new website and improving its digital product offerings, managing projects that significantly enhanced the company's operational efficiency and customer engagement.

     

    As a Digital Product Manager at Peet's, Mark developed the company's first mobile app, introducing loyalty programs and order-ahead capabilities. His leadership in these projects drove significant business growth and established him as a forward-thinking leader in digital innovation.

     

    Achievements at Safeway

    Mark's expertise and success were noticed, leading to his recruitment by Safeway. At Safeway, he quickly became Senior Product Manager and Director of Product for Mobile Apps. He spearheaded multiple initiatives in these roles that transformed the company's digital engagement strategies, significantly enhancing user experience and driving revenue growth.     Outside of his professional life, Mark's world is enriched by his diverse hobbies and interests. He is a devoted husband to his wife, Jami, whom he met in college. They share a love for the outdoors and music and a commitment to animal welfare, planning to adopt a dog to complete their family.
